Monument signs
New monument signs and updates to existing ones, from new faces and tenant panels to refacing, repainting and lighting. Designed, permitted and installed.

A monument sign sits low to the ground on its own base, usually at the entrance to a property. It is often the first thing a visitor sees, so it has to be easy to read from a moving car and hold up to years of sun, rain and sprinklers.
Most monuments don't need to be replaced to look new. We update existing monuments with new faces, new tenant panels, refacing and fresh paint, which usually costs far less than a new sign. When a property does need a brand-new monument, we design it, handle the permit and see the project through to installation.

Permits
Most cities require a sign permit for a new monument. We draw it up, submit it and handle the back-and-forth with the city.
Keeping it current
When tenants change, we make new panels to match the originals so the sign still looks like one piece.
Options & materials
- Aluminum cabinets and facesDurable, lightweight and easy to repaint or re-letter later.
- Dimensional lettersRouted or flat-cut letters and logos mounted to the face for a raised look.
- Tenant panelsRemovable panels so a tenant change doesn't mean a new sign.
- Bases and finishesPainted, textured or stone-look finishes to match the building.
- Lit or non-litInternal lighting or ground lights where the site and the city allow it.

Sizes & timeline
Sizes
Most monuments run from about 3 to 6 feet tall and 4 to 10 feet wide. The right size depends on how far away people read it, the speed of the road and what your city allows.
Timeline
Updates like new panels or faces usually take about 2 to 4 weeks after proof approval. A new monument takes longer, often 6 to 10 weeks plus permit time.
Common questions
Do I need a permit for a monument sign?
Almost always. We prepare the drawings and handle the permit and any landlord or HOA approval.
Can you reuse my existing monument?
Often, yes. If the structure is sound we can replace faces, add new tenant panels or repaint it, which usually costs far less than a new sign.
Can you match our building?
Yes. We match colors, textures and fonts so the sign looks like part of the property.
Do you remove the old sign?
Yes. We remove and haul away the old sign as part of the install.
